The CAD/CAM technique is the result of new three-dimensional scanning technology that allows the model to be acquired with an accuracy of up to 20μm.

In dental technology, CAD/CAM technology allows a 3D scanner to read a model of a natural stump, taken from an impression provided by the dentist. This technique ensures highly automated production with considerable time savings and the elimination of the need for readjustments; the prosthetic structures are therefore free of tension and porosity. A further advantage guaranteed by the absence of casting is the lack of oxide formation on the machined piece.

Mesa has been producing discs for CAD/CAM machining systems for more than 15 years now. During this time, discs have been supplied in different materials in order to be able to adapt to constantly changing market requirements. At the moment the Cobalt-Chrome CAD/CAM discs are supplied in the following alloys: Magnum Splendidum and Magnum Solare.

They have been designed, in particular, to reduce machining costs and to ensure lower material consumption.
